If you’re like most people who spend a lot of time trying to find good tattoos online, you usually manage to find some quality ones, but you rarely get perfect results. The searches where you find exactly the tattoo you’re looking for are few and far between.
That’s because the web is packed with homogenous style tattoo designs that are often hard to sort through, that is if you want to get the really good stuff! Almost every time, the picture in your head does not match the reality of what you’re able to find. Therefore, you end up settling.

Remember that Internet searches only get you so far and you usually have to dig for the really good stuff. But spending that extra time to get the exact tattoo you’re looking is definitely worth it.
Often you can find several designs or pieces of artwork and create a hybrid to make something fresh and new. This can also be a good way to ensure originality.
Depending on what you’re searching for, the designs you find may not even be intended as tattoos. A lot of times, you won’t find something that is designed to take to your favorite tattoo artist and get an exact replica. Luckily there are many talented tattoo artists that can help you with that.
It’s always a good idea to interview several tattoo artists before going with one of them. If you don’t like what you see in their portfolio, don’t use them. As with anything, some people are always better than others.

Basically, you want to find timeless designs that you will be happy with forever. The kind that get better with age as a fine wine. Tattoos are like collected artworks and you always want something that will hold it’s value.
Avoid getting a tattoo that you settle for because it’s a pretty sure bet that you won't like it in a couple of years. If there’s any doubt about the tattoo design you think you want, be sure and sit on it for a while. If the desire is still there in a week or month, you probably have a winner. In face, I know some people who think about it for years. They are proud of their tattoos, I guarantee you that.
